Telstar installs new artificial turf pitch for the upcoming season

Telstar, another Dutch team playing in the First Division, also known as the Jupiler League will play on artificial turf from GreenFields as of next football season. The club from Velsen-IJmuiden will be installing a GreenFields Evolution XQ systemduring the summer period.The footballclubs it not alone in its choice for this system, FC Dordrect and MVV play their home matches on the exact same system. Dordrecht FC already plays on GreenFields since last year and MVV is currently having a GreenFields pitch installed.

Historic turning point: 20 of 37 professional football clubs on artificial turf

By choosing GreenFields, Telstar is the 20th club in the Dutch professional football (Eredivisie and Jupiler League), who will play on artificial turf. For the first time next season the number of clubs with an artificial turf in the majority: 20 out of 37. This means that in 2015 thus reached a historic turning point.

In the 2015/1016 season on artificial turf

In the 2015/2016 season 12 of the 19 clubs in the Jupiler League will play on a GreenFields artificial turf system: Almere City, FC Den Bosch, FC Dordrecht, FC Emmen, FC Eindhoven, Helmond Sport, MVV, Young PSV, RKC Waalwijk, Sparta Rotterdam, Telstar and FC Volendam. In the Eredivisie 5 out of 18 play on a GreenFields artificial turf system: ADO Den Haag, Heracles Almelo, Excelsior, PEC Zwolle and Roda JC.
